Child Advocacy Endowed Wesleyan Summer Experience Fund

The Child Advocacy Grant is an endowed fund established by a generous anonymous donor that provides grant funding to Wesleyan students with demonstrated financial need who are interested in pursuing summer internship opportunities focused in protecting the rights of children in crisis. Lawyers For Children (LFC) provides free legal and social work advocacy to abused and neglected children, children in foster care, and children in high-conflict custody cases.

The Child Advocacy Grant supplies Wesleyan students with the resources and opportunity to partner directly with LFC. The recipient is selected for the LFC Social Work Interns Program, a robust and competitive summer program that allows motivated undergraduates to gain hands-on experience working directly with Lawyers for Children’s legal and social work teams. LFC Interns help prepare cases for hearings or trial, and observe on field visits, during client interviews, and during court cases.

Varies ($4,000 to $5,000 per grant)
